Innovations and Challenges in Global Health: A Multidisciplinary Perspective

This supplement presents multidisciplinary research addressing clinical innovation, disease burden, risk prediction, treatment outcomes, and public health challenges in low- and middle-income settings. The included studies span urology, surgery, hematology, oncology, ophthalmology, rheumatology, pediatrics, dentistry, reproductive health, radiology, and critical care. Urological investigations examine inpatient morbidity patterns and provide imaging-based reference measurements of ureteral anatomy. Surgical studies evaluate survival and quality of life after laparoscopic gastrectomy, three-dimensional assessment of breast augmentation outcomes, and the diagnosis and management of postoperative peritonitis. Further clinical research assesses the performance of extended depth-of-focus intraocular lenses, treatment approaches and survival outcomes in ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma, and the diagnostic and prognostic value of immature platelet fraction in immune thrombocytopenia.
