The Pan African Medical Journal (PAMJ) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access biomedical journal dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and improving health outcomes in Africa and globally. The journal publishes high-quality research and scholarly work across the full spectrum of public health, clinical medicine, global health, health systems, implementation science, epidemiology, health policy, One Health, and emerging health threats.
PAMJ welcomes original research articles, systematic reviews, policy analyses, implementation research, case reports, case series, perspectives, commentaries, and other scholarly contributions that address priority health challenges and inform evidence-based decision-making.
Particular emphasis is placed on research originating from low- and middle-income countries, especially Africa, and on studies that contribute to strengthening health systems, improving equity in health services, advancing disease prevention and control, and supporting the achievement of national, regional, and global health goals.
The journal encourages multidisciplinary approaches and the dissemination of research with clear implications for policy, practice, and public health action.
