The Pan African Medical Journal (PAMJ) strengthened its steadily growing reputation as a credible online open access scientific journal after its Managing Editor, Dr. Raoul Kamadjeu was elected to the Board of the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA) in January 2011. Dr. Kamadjeu will serve on the OASPA Board for two years, representing scholarly publishers. Acknowledging OASPA for considering PAMJ as a reputable journal, he said: “This is a huge opportunity for PAMJ to learn from already established and reputable journals, but also to bring the unique perspective of a new journal from the developing world”.
OASPA offers a forum which brings together the entire community of Open Access journal publishers. It promotes the interests of Open Access journal and book publishers globally in scientific, technical, and scholarly disciplines.
OASPA founders include Biomed Central, Copernicus Publications, Hindawi Publishing Corporation, Public Library of Science (PLOS), and Sage Publications.
