The Pan African medical Journal (Pamj) was launched in 2008 (June 2008) and has been since then the fastest growing medical journal on the African continent. Pamj is indexed in all major databases including, Pubmed Centrtal, Pubmed, EBSCO, index Copernicus, African Index Medicus, the HINARI project, CABI etc.. and ambitions to become the leading and largest Open Access journal in Africa.

Pamj currently (25 March 2011) has more than 1000 registered users, more than 2000 authors (cumulative), a mailing-list of 1300 subscribers and more than 7000 monthly pageviews (and counting). Our audience is a mixed of health professionals, mostly doctors, from more than 75 countries, 1/3 of them French speakers. Authors who submit to pamj come from around the world, mostly from African countries and reflect the full breadth of medical and public health specialties.
